New Delhi, April 30, 2025 — ByteEdge, a fast-growing enterprise AI startup transforming traditional corporate documents into dynamic, multilingual short videos, has announced a successful $1.5 million funding round. The investment was led by Japan-based venture capital firm TRTL Ventures, with participation from a consortium of global and Indian angel investors.
Revolutionizing Knowledge Access for Deskless Workers:
Founded in 2022 by Kamal Dutta and Akash Gupt, ByteEdge is tackling one of the most overlooked pain points in enterprise communication: how to make critical organizational knowledge accessible, engaging, and understandable for deskless workers — who account for nearly 70% of the global workforce.
“The problem is simple yet enormous,” explains Akash Gupt, Co-founder of ByteEdge. “Enterprise knowledge lives in PDFs, Word files, PowerPoint decks, and other text-heavy formats. These are ineffective for frontline employees, who often lack easy access or time to consume such material, resulting in low engagement and significant operational inefficiencies.”
ByteEdge’s AI platform converts lengthy corporate documents into short, cinematic, multilingual video content tailored for frontline teams. It supports regional and global enterprises in delivering timely, impactful knowledge across industries like financial services, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, and e-commerce.
Strong Enterprise Adoption and Market Presence:
In just under two years, ByteEdge has onboarded over 30 enterprise clients, driving approximately 80–85% of its revenue from India. The startup is now positioning itself for international growth, with early engagements underway in the United States and the Middle East.
“This is a universal challenge,” added Gupt. “In the Middle East, for instance, there’s a glaring lack of platforms that deliver enterprise information in local languages like Arabic, especially in rich video formats. The US, being a massive enterprise market, presents an equally large opportunity for scalable solutions like ours.”
To support this international push, ByteEdge plans to raise an additional $3 million in funding over the next four to five months, aiming to deepen product capabilities and accelerate go-to-market efforts globally.
Backed by Strategic Global Investors:
The funding round was spearheaded by TRTL Ventures, a Tokyo-based venture capital firm known for its focus on early-stage AI, fintech, and SaaS startups across Asia. You can learn more about their portfolio and investment philosophy at trtl.vc.
ByteEdge’s latest fundraise also attracted a group of notable angel investors from both India and overseas, a sign of growing investor confidence in AI-driven enterprise solutions targeting operational gaps in frontline workforce engagement.
