Can you tell us about the inspiration behind Stella Fantasy and what sets it apart from other NFT games in the market?
Unlike most RPG games where players control only one character, Stella Fantasy allows users to control multiple characters simultaneously. All four characters are present on the battlefield, and players can switch between them, creating a strategic element in combat. This design encourages users to think about combining different character skills effectively. This concept was inspired by our team’s passion for gaming and the desire to offer original gamers something different in terms of action.
Stella Fantasy is the first ARPG of its kind on blockchain, featuring a rich lore, dynamic gameplay, and diverse content to enjoy in-game. Our focus is on providing an enjoyable gaming experience rather than solely emphasizing the ‘earn’ aspect of Play and Earn.
We understand that Stella Fantasy aims to break away from the limitations of existing NFT games by offering a more complete and full-fledged gaming experience. Could you elaborate on the innovative features that players can expect from the game?
In addition to the mentioned battle mechanics, Stella Fantasy consistently introduces new content to the game. Within the first month of our global release, we added competitive content called ‘Abyss Invader’ and social content known as ‘Stellaverse.’
Abyss Invader is Stella Fantasy’s take on the traditional boss raid concept commonly found in RPG games. Each season, a new boss appears, and adventurers compete to deal the most damage to the boss. The current boss, Mumei, incorporates various gimmicks to keep adventurers on their toes.
Furthermore, Stella Fantasy recently introduced Goddess’s Ordeal, a casual game mode where users can test their strength and receive rewards. We have also introduced a new type of growth content called Ring of Stella and the new season pass, Celestial Road.
These continuous updates highlight our commitment to rapid and extensive upgrades. Similar to traditional web2 games, Stella Fantasy aims to consistently update and enhance user experience, making it one of the game’s core features: offering endless content for users to enjoy.
Is the game using Binance and Ethereum both chains? Can you share the advantages of using these blockchain networks, and do you have any plans to explore other blockchain ecosystems in the future?
At the moment, Stella Fantasy is operating on the Binance network rather than Ethereum. One significant advantage of the Binance network is its extensive user base, making it accessible to a broader audience. However, we are also exploring other blockchain ecosystems to enhance the user experience to the maximum potential. Currently, we are engaged in discussions with various networks to determine the best fit for our project and identify platforms that can further increase accessibility for Stella Fantasy.
Stella Fantasy was the only Web3 game featured among the five projects showcased at the Binance Blockchain Week Paris 2022. How does the game leverage the potential of the Web3 ecosystem, and what benefits does it offer to players and the gaming community?
We think it essential to highlight how the game values the NFT which the user owns. And the ecosystem to calculate and maintain that value would be also important. So we have put all our efforts and time to make a balance between the NFT element and game ecosystem and kept enhancing it through our frequent game content updates.
In the whitepaper, it is mentioned that NFT games in the current market seem insufficient in terms of being ‘games’ themselves. How does Stella Fantasy address this concern and provide a more immersive gaming experience to its users?
As mentioned before, one of our core principles is that games must be fun as the game itself. And that was exactly what we aimed for. Not to bash any other projects, but it is true that a lot of other web3 game projects out there have different visuals from what they advertised to be, idle games were the majority, and simply, they were just not as fun to play. We thought that if we are to create a game, web3 or not, we are going to do it right. So we put emphasis on the quality of the game itself first and foremost. The game features tradeable NFTs in the form of characters, equipment, and other loot. How does the NFT integration contribute to the gameplay, and how can players make the most of their NFT assets within the game?
In Stella Fantasy, there are two main types of NFTs: Characters and Equipment.
Character NFTs can be obtained in-game or purchased during Character NFT box sales, and they can also be traded on the marketplace. These NFTs bring dynamic gameplay to the players. Creating different combinations of characters in each party offers a unique experience each time they play, and owning multiple Character NFTs allows for the formation of multiple parties, enhancing progression in the game. Additionally, Character NFTs with production passives contribute to boosting crafting abilities.
Similarly, Equipment is another type of NFT in the game, which users can trade on the marketplace or equip to their characters to strengthen their parties. Players can craft Equipment through the Blacksmith by acquiring necessary crafting materials through various in-game content. Engaging in more challenging content rewards users with better materials, resulting in higher-grade equipment crafting.
To facilitate the trading of these NFTs, Stella Fantasy has its own marketplace, developed internally by our talented team and blockchain specialists, providing users with a seamless and secure trading experience among players.
As the CEO of Ring Games, what is your vision for Stella Fantasy in the gaming industry, and what milestones do you hope to achieve in 2023?
As developers of Stella Fantasy, our primary goal is to bring joy to as many users as possible and allow them to fully immerse themselves in the rich game mechanics we have designed. We take pride in the characters we’ve created and wish to share that love with a wide audience, making our game beloved by many.
Moreover, we envision Stella Fantasy as a bridge between the traditional web2 and the emerging web3 world. While Web3 holds great promise, we understand that there might be some hesitation and skepticism surrounding it. Through our game, we aim to break down these barriers and introduce users to the potential of Web3 in a friendly and enjoyable way. Games have universal appeal, and they can bring people from all walks of life together to experience new technologies and concepts.
Looking ahead to 2023, one of our key milestones is the release of the mobile version of Stella Fantasy. We have received numerous requests and anticipation for this development, and we believe that the mobile platform will propel Stella Fantasy to new heights, reaching an even wider audience and enhancing the gaming experience for our players.
In your opinion, what makes Stella Fantasy a must-play game for both Web3 enthusiasts and traditional gamers?
Stella Fantasy truly stands out with its exceptional character design and combat system. Unlike many other games that feature similar weapon types and fighting styles, our game boasts a diverse array of characters, each wielding distinct weapons and showcasing unique combat styles. These characters are not just cosmetic elements; they are integral to the game’s lore, and their fighting styles are deeply intertwined with their individual stories.
We have invested a great deal of effort in crafting compelling backstories for each character, which players can explore as they progress through the main story. Our aim is to make these characters not only visually appealing but also emotionally captivating, so players can truly fall in love with them. To further enhance this connection, Stella Fantasy incorporates animated cutscenes and character lines, providing deeper insights into each character’s personality and fostering a sense of attachment.

Finally, what excites you the most about the potential of Web3 gaming, and what do you see as the most significant opportunities for growth and innovation in the coming years?
Even in this tough Web3 environment, we think that the quality does matter and the quality should match that of the traditional Web2/mobile standards. So we had put all our efforts so far to match this kind of standards and keep trying more. No one can tell the significant opportunities in the actual market before he/she gives their best shot.
